Both Lost planet and Halo 2 ports look better.

Well, I haven't heard about the Lost Planet port. But you do know that Halo 2 came out on the original xbox, right? Of course they'll bump up the graphics for that. Your argument is useless yet again.

Have they shown any game play yet as so far it all looks like cutscenes?

For Mass Effect? They haven't shown any cut scenes, all movies and screen shots are in-game.

What argument? Anyway game play as in actually running around and doing something. I don't count talking to other characters as game play.

I have found some gameplay videos, looks like a mix between a tactical shooter, star wars and some magic thrown in. They've gone the route of pause the game to make decisions like knights of the old republic. It looks kinda difficult to do it that way from the camera view.

Any RPG for the 360 is great, but this? This is a godsend.

So is anyone picking up the prequel novel this week? It comes out tomorrow. I think I'm going to wait until after finals next week to grab my copy.

It's been over two months and not a lot has happened on this game's front... There's been additions to the Galactic Codex from the game's main site illustrating one of the races, the Krogan race, and its background/lore. It's a three part series. Maybe other races, like the Asari, Salarians, Turians, Volus, etc, will also receive this treatment.

Anyway, what I really wanted to update is the fact Gamespot will be showing a live E3 2007 demo of Mass Effect on Wednesday July 11th at 6PM Pacific/8PM Central/9PM Eastern!!! Hopefully a release date is also revealed.

Eh, David Weber did it better, as well as several other sci-fi authors before him.

I've made a conscious effort to stay away from all media surrounding this game for the last 4 or 5 months and will continue to do so until I play it. I want everything to be fresh and exciting. Here's hoping it's a real GOTY competitor.

That's *exactly* what I've been doing. I know what the game is about and I've seen two videos and a few screens, but I really wanna keep the rest so when I finally get the game I'll know it's all new to me.

I screwed myself over with HL2, I felt like everything I was playing I already saw.
