I'm surprised at how the level seems like an open playground and has extremely minimal/almost non-existent walking and talking/hold while I open this door events. It reminds me of Medal of Honor Airborne/European Assault which were some of the few very good MFPS titles.
If the campaign ends up being decent I might buy it.

If there's one thing I sort of like about this game generation so far is that the open world fad with emergent gameplay is proving to be more entertaining than last gen with its seven million linear scripted shooters made by Hollywood rejects.

Soldier of Fortune was not a part of the generation fps games Inspector was talking about. They were released at the time when the fps genre was at the prime of it's life (early 2000's I think, after Half-Life :whack: ), think about Return to Castle Wolfenstein, No One Lives Forever 1 & 2, Unreal (Tournament), Halo, Red Faction, Quake 3, System Shock 2, the first Call of Duty games, Aliens vs Predator 1 & 2, Serious Sam and many more.
All had their own style and were unique in a their own way.

But you're right Soldier of Fortune 1 & 2 were great games :cool , I really miss them in my Steam collection :(

Now I understand the zen of Trevor:

Does Gabe Newell ever wonder what life would be like without Gordon Freeman?
